The Hario V60 Ceramic 02 Kit in White is the perfect set for brewing filter coffee with precision and quality. Hario's ceramic dripper is a favourite of competition baristas for its durability and the way it holds temperature during extraction.
Ceramic is the most prized material for the V60: it preheats evenly, keeps the temperature stable throughout the pour and doesn't transfer any flavours to the coffee.

FAQs — Hario V60 Ceramic Kit
What is the V60?
The V60 is a cone-shaped filter coffee dripper with spiral ribs that guide the water towards the centre. Developed by Hario in Japan, it's the most widely used filter method in specialty coffee thanks to the clarity and purity it brings to the cup.
Why choose ceramic over plastic?
Ceramic holds temperature more evenly during extraction, giving more consistent results cup after cup. It's the material preferred by competition baristas. It's also more durable and doesn't absorb odours. Plastic is perfectly fine for getting started or travelling — ceramic is the next level.
Is it difficult to use?
It's easy once you get into the rhythm. The basic process is: preheat the dripper with hot water, put in the filter, add the ground coffee, pour the water in slow circles and let it drain. Ceramic preheats especially well — just pour some hot water through before you start.
What grind do I need?
A medium-fine grind, similar to table salt. If the coffee drains too fast, grind finer. If it drains too slowly, grind coarser. With our whole bean coffees you can fine-tune it; if you prefer ground, select "Filter" when adding it to your basket.
Which coffees work best with the V60?
Washed-process coffees with bright acidity show their profile best in a V60. Kianamui Kenya, Inga from Nariño and Flora Geisha are three of the best for this method. In general, any specialty coffee improves noticeably in a V60 compared with other methods.
Which filters do I need?
Single-use size 02 V60 filters, for a clean cup with no sediment. The kit includes a pack to get you started; spare filters will be back in the shop soon.
How do I clean it?
Remove the used filter, rinse the dripper with hot water and leave it to dry. It doesn't need soap after every use — water is enough. For a deep clean, it's dishwasher safe.
Does it make a good gift?
Yes — it's one of the most appreciated gifts for coffee lovers. The ceramic kit looks beautifully made and is a benchmark product in the industry. Paired with a Quinto specialty coffee, it makes a complete and original gift.
